Xiang's 2nd Birthday & Shanghai Trip

It's going to be Xiang's 2nd birthday on this coming Saturday. But on the same day, both my husband & I are going for our Shanghai family trip. I felt so bad leaving my kids behind.

Initially we have registered Xiang for this trip. But, we have pulled out his name finally due to the cold winter season and Xiang's flu & cough problem.

I'm not too excited about the trip now. I'm much more worried about leaving them behind and sure will miss them a lot during my trip

Tailor made dress for Qi

I just got these 2 dresses for Qi - tailored made and very nice materials! Cheap too!
Thanks a million to Jesslyn! Her site is here

Balloon dress (saving for CNY!)

Infant dress

Qi new dress

I'm very satisfied with this dress for Qi. She looks so adorable and I have managed to find a matching hair clip for her! The dress is from qqstepshop and the clip is from comfybebe. Both are very nice sellers.

I'm going to let her wear this for coming CNY!

What else can do with color pencils?

Xiang was innovative in playing. Lately, he discovered that the holes on his table are just nice for his color pencils to pass through.

I’s fun to him and I just let him played with it lor (of course under our supervisions). I guess it could train his eye and hands coordination as well.

Genting Highland 1 day trip

On the next day of our boat tour – Monday, we headed for Genting Highland. KL was raining and we expected it to be cold at Genting. It was indeed coooool!

Xiang had to wear 3 layer of cloths!

As usual, being a strong girl, Qi only needs 2 layer of clothing. She started to sweats when I put on another sweater for her. She even pulled her hat every time I put it on her. So finally I let her be lor …. Qi is still too small for all the plays. But she loves the merry-go-round, keeps on looking at the likes on top of her.
Xiang loved to ride on the kiddy car. Lining up is a new thing to him, we had to keep on grabbing him and asked to follow the ‘che che’ or ‘gor gor’ in front of him!
Line up, Xiang!
Ready for the drive!

Boat Tour – The Mines Wonderland

We brought our 2 bao bei to a boat tour last Sunday. It was a breezy & cloudy day. A very fine weather to have a boat trip just like this.

It was a wonderful trip indeed. I’ve been on such boat tour before this but it was night time. As compare to our day trip this time, this is much better as we can see lots of birds, fish and even reptiles! There are even 2 doves which flew on to our boat deck and Xiang had a good time feeding them with corn. Qi was enjoying it too as she rocks when the wind blow to her face.

New cloths from MyBabyCorner

Yesterday, I got my first order from online shopping. Guess that I'm too worried that I ordered too big size for him! Anyway, I'm really satisfied and some turns out to be very nice!

Xiang wearing the monkey top & pants. He likes the monkey a lot!

saliva

Xiang’s saliva has been dribbling non-stop since he was 2 months old. He’s going to be 2 years old next month but there’s no improvement. We are constantly asking him to close his mouth or swallow every time. But if he is too engrossed in playing, he never listened to us. His shirt will be wet in half an hour if we didn’t wipe with handkerchiefs. All his toys have traces of his saliva … yeah … yucks!!!

*sob sob sob* ... when the saliva stream will stop ?!!

notice his totally wet-shirt-front?

rock n roll!

I felt that my 9 months gal Qi is more sensative to songs compare to her brother.
She rocks when she heard songs which she liked, or when she tasted something nice and even when we pick her up from babysitter. Sometimes, she'll rock when we asked her to dance. Here's a clip of her.

face of moon

Anyone noticed the smiling moon yesterday night?

We went out to buy some stuff and Xiang noticed it! It was really nice!

Xiang kept on saying: "moon ... mouth ... moon ... mouth" while pointing to his mouth at the same time. (the moon looks like a smiling mouth which I usually draw when playing with him)

Too bad that when I wanted to take a picture, one of the 'eyes' was blocked by cloud. Anyone got the picture? I wanted to make a scrapbook for my son and would like to include this!

e-shopping

I have just started to shop online recently, mainly on baby clothing. I found out that it’s so much cheaper online even inclusive of the delivery charges. I have not yet received my orders, I do hope they are in good conditions. Do you shop online too? If yes, mind to share any site which you fond of?

Go to sleep!!!

10pm

Mummy: Xiang, let's go to bedroom!
Xiang: 上去....上去 !
(go up, go up)

10.10pm
Xiang: mummy,pillow,pillow 。。。
mummy,chut chut,chut chut 。。。
(note:chut chut = paci)

10.12pm
Xiang: 开barney ,mummy 拿
(he wants to watch Barney & ask me to take down from cabinet)

10.30 pm
He slipped out of bed, open the cabinet, looking for his next toy.
Mummy: 好了,睡觉了!
(just trying my luck to ask him to sleep)
Xiang: 不要,不要!
开baby,mummy 拿
[Luck was not on my side as usual. He asked to watch YourBabyCanRead. Well, it's a good DVD, so ok ...]

10.50pm
He slipped down from bed again, open my closet this time.
Mummy: 好了,mummy 累了,睡觉了!
Xiang: 不要,不要!mummy 拿 book ... book
[Reading is good. So, ok ... again]

11.10pm
Mummy: OK, let's sleep now!
Xiang: 不要,不要! 下去,下去 !
(he wants to go downstairs!)
Mummy & Daddy: NO! SLEEP NOW!!!
(with very stern voice)
Xiang: 哇! 哇!! 哇!!!
(crying so loud that he woke up his sister. )
Mummy: ok, ok, ok …
(I gave up and let him do whatever he liked - usually played with hankies from my closet)

11.25pm
Mummy: Xiang, let's sleep now ....
(very sleepy and with little energy left)
Xiang: mummy 拿…

sigh ... all this can go on and on ...
so when he reached the limit, i'll just slam shut everything, ignored his screaming/crying and off the bedroom light. But, because of he cried so hard, sometimes he'll have bad dreams.

I have no idea how to train him to sleep once step into bedroom ???

Taking photos

I have been thinking of taking photos of both of them before. But the idea keeps putting off. Finally I found photographers who are able to come to my house for the shooting! I truly look forward to this as I want to keep something for remembrance of their cute babyhood days. Can't wait to see the results!!!

Brother & Sister

I like these 2 photos a lot (though not professionally taken). That is the first time Xiang hugged Qi! See how happy is Xiang & Qi!!!

Pretty princess

Qi was born dark. I'm not sure whether it's the effect of all the kopi-o & nescafe which I took during pregnancy! "Sorry ah, Qi ...."

Taken on 11 March 2008

Her skin texture changed in a few months and before I knew it, everyone is praising for her fair & nice complexion. {proud! proud! proud!}
Taken on 4 Oct 2008.
[She's doing her business on potty, but still looked at the camera!]

How I miss his chubbiness!

I remembered that Xiang could drink 3 oz of milk straight when he's only 3 days old! Look how chubby he is!

This one is taken during his 1st visit to his babysitter house. It was raining cats & dogs and so we waited at the car.
Xiang: "boring mummy ......"

Then out of sudden, during his 4th month, he started to dislike milk. We have to spoon feed or sleep feed him. It was then he started to slim down

My 2nd delivery experience

When Xiang was only 4 months old, I was surprised to find out that I'm pregnant again! I was scared then, wondering how am I going to take care of them. Anyway, things got straighten out and before I knew it, it was near my due date.

This time, I didn't take the risk. Oh, I forgot to mention that Xiang was 3.4kg then. My scan shows that my girl Qi is around 3.2kg. So I opt for the operation.
2008 February 27. The jab at the backbone was painful. Although I can't felt any pain after that, but I can felt the doctor pushing & pulling my stomach! Soon, my baby girl arrives to this world.
Qi new born, weighing 2.9kg:

Qi didn't pass motion for 2 days and was admitted to ward. It's heartbreaking to her in tubes and in pain at only 3 days old.

My 1st delivery experience

It was on 2006 December 19, Ipoh. When I woke up, I felt a gush of water discharged. It was pure and without any stain of blood. I got scared anyway since I was already 39 weeks pregnant. I went to hospital and was advised to be admitted. But no sign of delivery on the end of the day and decided to induced the next day.

2006 December 20. I remember I was very excited, getting up real early around 4.30am in the morning. They started to drips me at around 6am. It was nothing at first, but the pain came at around 8am.

My sister called me at 9am and I could barely talked over the phone. However, I manage to control myself and practising my breathing as the nurses told me to.
It became unbearable at around noon time. The nurse give me injection & oxygen gas, but I was shouting & screaming. I was asked to hang on since the opening was already 5 cm at around 2pm.
Guess luck was not on my side, even at opening 8cm, my baby's head couldn't be felt and had decided for operation. I do not know how I endure how the long hours of pain but I was instantly relief was pushed to operation room.
At 5.30pm, I'm blessed with a handsome son - Xiang

I'm actually nervous hugging him for the first time, so small and fragile. I guess that we'll try our best to be a good parents to this small little boy.

Xiang in my arms:

Xiang at home! Sleeping soundly. Fair, isn't he?

My 1st little step

I've been thinking of starting my own blog a long time. But things keep coming up, pregnant, taking care of my son Xiang, pregnant again (yeah, when Xiang was only 4 months old!), taking care of both my son Xiang & daughter Qi ... Well, back to my title "Ai Peng's 365" ... easily you could guess that 365 is 365 days of my sharing on my ups and downs, joy, sadness, hopes, disappointments and all those special moments in my life. Writing a blog is like writing a diary, but big difference is I'm sharing all these with others blogger whom i may not know at all, but having the same 'mission'. I a newbies here, so all comments are welcome!
